Congleton Live CIC Limited, the community interest company that organises Congleton’s “Unplugged” and “Jazz & Blues” music festivals, has begun promoting the upcoming “Congleton Unplugged” weekend of free- music in town centre establishments. In addition to the free events there will be ticketed gigs before and after the free-weekend including a Vinyl Album Launch Party by Congleton’s-own John Dhali on Thursday 3rd March in Congleton Town Hall.
Other ticketed gigs include “Dylan Thomas by John Lindley” in Congleton Library on Wednesday 2nd March plus “Bring on the Swing” at Congleton Cricket Club on 12th March. The Free music events start on Friday 4th March from 6pm and continue through to a conclusion on Sunday 6th March in the early evening. There is an additional no-cover-charge event of “Poems & Pints” at The Beartown Tap on Thursday 10th March.
We call on all residents to participate in the support and promotion of our town centre as we emerge from pandemic and seek normal living. Live performance can be a joyous and inspiring mechanism for all of us.
Programmes and additional merchandise will be available in most town centre establishments from Friday 18th February.
