One of the region’s most respected family law solicitors has announced his retirement.
Pete Littlewood is to leave Chafes Hague Lambert Solicitors at the end of December, after 28 years with the firm where he is a partner and head of the firm’s Family Law Department.
Pete joined the firm in 1992 and became a partner in 1996. He has had a rewarding career, during the course of which he was instructed by many fellow professionals and members of the judiciary. As well as becoming one of the first accredited members of the Solicitors Family Law Association (now Resolution) in 1999, Pete is a Law Society accredited children’s representative and in 2004 was elected President of Stockport Incorporated Law Society Limited.
On his retirement Pete said:
“I will genuinely miss most of my fellow lawyers, all of my work colleagues past and present, the rigour of the courtroom and the endless opportunities to try to make a difference for the benefit of others. The time has come to remove my waistcoat and don my sou’wester.”
Managing Partner Robert Brindley added:
“I would like thank Pete for his many years of commitment and dedication to Chafes Hague Lambert Solicitors. Pete is driven by his desire to do his absolute best for all his clients and in his 28 years with us he has contributed greatly to the development of the business and the culture of the firm. Always a popular member of the firm, Pete will be greatly missed by all the partners and staff at Chafes Hague Lambert, although his influence and values will remain.”
The Partners and staff at Chafes Hague Lambert wish him a long and happy retirement.
