King's Junior Division young athletes lifted the Macclesfield Primary School's Championship Shield in a thrilling evening at the Leisure Centre.
Competing against the cream of tough local talent, King's girls and boys took home 10 individual medals and two relay medals.
In the field events Ella Bray won the turbo javelin; Daisy Sutton won the chest push, with Tasha Clark second in the long jump and Alistair Fitzmaurice third in the long jump.
On the track, Isaac Hughes won the 150 metres and Sophie Payne won the 60 metres, with Ella Bray second in the 600 metres and Daisy Sutton second in the 80 metres; Matilda Machin was third in the 150 metres and Cora Seth third in the 60 metres.
Matilda Machin, Tasha Clark, Phoebe Marshall and Daisy Sutton won the Girls’ Relay while Matthew Ennis, Ben Bailey, Alistair Fitzmaurice and Isaac Hughes came third in the Boys’ Relay.
It was the girls who led the way winning their section, with the boys third to record an overall victory for the King's School.
The Year 5 and 6 Boys and Girls team then travelled to Blackburn for a North West Association of Junior Independent Schools' event in what is a straight froward individual championship with no team awards.
King's had its own stars: Daisy Sutton claimed bronze in the 80 metres; Ella Bray bronze in the 600 metres, Isaac Hughes bronze in the 150 metres and Sophie Payne bronze in the 150 metres. However, performance of the day went to Tasha Clark, who claimed a silver in the Long Jump.
